WWE
During an interview with TMZ Sports, Dana White said he hasn’t heard a word from Brock Lesnar and doesn’t expect Lesnar to return to the UFC: “The guy has had a long killer career. He actually came in and became a UFC heavyweight champ and the guy’s made a lot of money. I just don’t see him coming back over here again at his age.” White said he’d love to hear from Lesnar and find out how Lesnar and his family are doing, but he expects that would be the extent of their conversation.
Nigel McGuinness returned to the commentary team for 205 Live last night, calling the show alongside Vic Joseph. Sami Zayn tweeted about being back in the ring on last night’s SmackDown: “Woke up today feeling sore & stiff after last night’s match, my first match in 6 months. It’s this very specific ache, both dull & sharp, that you only get from a hard fought match. I missed it. One day it’ll be gone. I am so grateful that I still get to experience this feeling.”
WWE posted a storyline update on Sasha Banks after she was attacked by Bayley again on SmackDown last night: “UPDATE: @SashaBanksWWE was shaken up in last night’s attack by @itsBayleyWWE, but no further injuries were sustained. While appearing on Barstool Sports’ My Mom’s Basement podcast, The Undertaker was asked how much of the decision to do his WWE docuseries was so that he couldn’t return to the ring again after his apparent retirement: “It was in my thought process. I have a whole group of people who are like, ‘You can go out and do this, people will go crazy.’ On the inside, I’m thinking, ‘I don’t move the way I used to move, it’s a watered down version.’ I also love this business so much and love performing. It’s almost like I needed somebody to put the bullet in there and stop. Once we started rolling with this, it was in the back of my mind, ‘I can get to a point where this will solidify it and I won’t have a choice.’ Originally, that’s where I was at until I had to send the last 15 minutes to the Chairman [Vince McMahon]. He didn’t like the ending at all. That’s where we put the line back in there, ‘never say never.’ I’m coming to grips with it. Obviously, as we get close to [WrestleMania], I’ll have that internal feeling like I should be getting ready for something.”
