The Cauliflower Alley Club is advertising Dean Ambrose for the weekend of April 29 through May 1. The event is a Cauliflower Alley Club reunion and Dean is set to present the Trainer’s Award to Cody Hawk.
Hawk trained Ambrose in 2004 when Dean worked for pro wrestling legend Les Thatcher’s Heartland Wrestling Association. He was just 18 when he received his training and debuted under the name Jon Moxley, a name which he kept using for the next seven years.
Though he developed a reputation on the indie circuit as a fearless hardcore wrestler, Ambrose really found his footing in WWE. He also found his biggest spotlight as a founding member of The Shield along with Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins.
After weeks of speculation in late 2018, WWE confirmed that Ambrose is leaving the company when his contract expires in late April. Though many fans believe this is all a work and Ambrose will indeed return, there has been no indication that is the case. WWE is pushing the narrative that The Shield has worked its last match as a trio and Dean currently has nothing to do in the weeks leading to WrestleMania 35 on April 7.
Ambrose’s appearance at The Cauliflower Alley Club is not exactly proof that he’s finished with WWE. But it’s quite possibly his first appearance after his contract with Vince McMahon’s company will supposedly expire. Whether or not The Lunatic Fringe will be back in a WWE ring after that point, remains to be seen.
