Kevin Hatchard on Sebastien Haller's move to West Ham
Arsenal – Nicolas Pepe – £3.5m
Yes, honestly, that isn’t a typo – we swear. You can get the Ivorian flyer on the cheap following his big-money switch to the Emirates.
He got a huge haul of 22 goals and 11 assists last season. Okay, nine were penalties but even if we cut his contribution in half that’s 11 goals and, rounding down, five assists.
He may not play in the first game of the season but call David Dickinson, because we’ve got a bargain!
Aston Villa – Jack Grealish – £2.5m
There is plenty of value around the Villans’ squad this year but we’d recommend sticking with the tried and tested this season – or until a transfer is necessary.
Grealish had an injury hit campaign last time out but still propelled the club to promotion. He’s vital to their chances of survival, especially in a team which has had a huge overhaul.
Bournemouth – Callum Wilson – £3.5m
If you’re not pumping all your money into your strikeforce you may need a cheaper option and the England international is a fine choice.
If he can remain clear of injury he’s a shoo-in for 10+ goals this campaign.
Brighton and Hove Albion – Pascal Gross – £2m
Manager Graham Potter needs to coach the hell out of this team to keep them in the top flight this season.
If anyone can do it, he can. Any creativity will have to come from Gross, though, and after a downturn last year it will require a comeback of sorts from the German.
Burnley – Dwight McNeil – £1m
The young left winger showed his potential last season and could really prove himself over an entire campaign in 2019/20.
Juventus reportedly showed interest in him and we don’t blame them either.
Chelsea – Willian – £3.5m
He’s not the most exciting name out there but the Blues’ new No.10 will be a regular and is good for those all-important 7/10 ratings on WhoScored.com. Sometimes you just have to be savvy rather than spectacular.
Crystal Palace – Luka Milivojevic – £3.5m
You know the deal here.
We’re getting VAR and while Wilfried Zaha is still with the Eagles Milivojevic could really see a surge in the amount of penalties he gets to take – and he rarely misses.
Everton – Lucas Digne – £3m
A set-piece sensation from full-back at Goodison Park.
Fantasy Football players may be losing Leighton Baines but the Toffees seem to have landed his reincarnation in Digne. Expect assists.
Leicester City – James Maddison – £3m
It’s a toss up between the English youngster and Youri Tielemans (£2.5m) but Maddison just edges it.
Tielemans had a good haul last term but underlying stats suggest this might not continue.
We’re backing Maddison to shine again as he targets a Euro 2020 place with England.
Liverpool – Trent Alexander-Arnold – £5m
The youngster stunned the Premier League and the rest of Europe with his performances last season.
He’s a incredible talent and his offensive output makes him a must-sign star for your Dream Team.
Manchester City – Raheem Sterling – £6.5m
Without wishing to be Captain Obvious, the England superstar is going to get goals and assists all season long unless injury stops him.
You would be a fool not to sign him.
Manchester United – Aaron Wan-Bissaka – £3m
It’s hard to know whether Jekyll or Hyde will turn up for the Red Devils this season.
There’s a good chance Wan-Bissaka, for better or worse, will be their standout player though.
Newcastle United – Joelinton – £2m
Already banging them in for fun in pre-season, we’re hopeful the Magpies faithful will have new a hero this season.
Prepare for all the Joelin-Toon headlines.
Norwich City – Emi Buendia – £2m
We’re big fans of the young Argentine at talkSPORT Towers and recommend you get him in your team.
A bargain midfielder capable of goals and assists, he’s a set-piece taker too.
Sheffield United – Dean Henderson – £1.5m
The young and talented shot-stopper on loan from Manchester United has the opportunity to make a name for himself in the Premier League.
We reckon he could well do it too.
Southampton – Yan Valery – £1.5m
The exciting French full-back is set to be Ralph Hasenhuttl’s starter in the role this season.
If he can build on the progress he made last year then you’re on to a winner.
Tottenham Hotspur – Harry Kane – £7m
We’d love to pick someone from the shadows here but, let’s face it, there’s only one man for the job.
If Kane stays injury free he could easily bumble his way to 25 goals this term and that’s without thinking about the impact of VAR.
Watford – Craig Dawson – £2m
Rumours are that Dawson would put his head in the way of an asteroid plummeting towards the earth.
Luckily he found his calling as a Premier League defender and will likely thud a few set-pieces into the back of the net for the Hornets.
West Ham United – Sebastien Haller – £3m
Forget Marko Arnautovic – this is a proper striker.
If he doesn’t do well for the Hammers we’ll eat our hats – you can find out more about his style of play here.
Wolverhampton Wanderers – Raul Jimenez – £3.5m
The Europa League has the potential to throw a spanner in the works for Wolves but they should still be capable of a top-half finish.
Jimenez should be good for at least 10 goals again this term – get your masks at the ready.
