Swedish fashion label Filippa K has teamed up with high-end Italian brand
Monobi to develop a capsule collection of performance sportswear for Autumn/Winter 2016, inspired
by outerwear, for men.
Named Monobi by Filippa K, the collection is said to bring together the
Scandinavian minimalistic design with Italian craftsmanship and
performance driven functionality. The capsule collection is set to
offer five diverse outerwear items which are multifaceted in
their functionality, design and wearability. The garments for the debut
collection for Autumn/Winter 2016 include a foiled anroka, a three layer
jacket, a polyurethane padded blazer, a bonded primaloft trench coat and a
crew neck hybrid sweater which doubles in function as outerwear.
“We were intrigued by the idea of developing exclusive high-tech materials
and merge them with our aesthetic sense,” said Alexander Schaper, Design
Director Man, Filippa K. “We wanted the pieces to be unique and durable
with an architectonic and structural design. This collaboration really has
turned out better than we could ever have hoped for”
The capsule collection sits in line with Filippa K’s overall approach
to circular fashion, as the products are versatile and designed to last.
Monobi by Filippa K will be sold exclusively online and in selected Filippa
K stores across the globe.
