Foot Mercato are reporting that Premier League side Fulham FC are pushing to acquire Stade Rennais’ skipper Hamari Traoré (30). The international Malian right-back will be out of contract this summer and the Cottagers are ready to pounce this winter transfer window. The 30-year-old arrived in Brittany in 2017 and his stock rose so much he was considered last summer by FC Barcelona, until the Blaugranas favoured Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin on a free transfer.
A mainstay for the Brittany outfit, Traoré is not expected to renew his contract with Stade Rennais. The question now whether Stade Rennais will allow Traoré to run down his contract this summer or cash in this month. According to Foot Mercato, AS Roma’s José Mourinho has made his interest known but the most concrete approach comes from the Premier League. Seventh-placed Fulham FC push for Traoré’s signing and have submitted an offer between €3-4m to Stade Rennais.
