New York – Riccardo Tisci is consistently proving to be the best thing to happen to
Givenchy, given the amount of celebrities wearing his designs on the red
carpet and the pr dream that was their NYFW runway show in September.
Givenchy is a force to be reckoned with in the luxury market, but they are
about to be a more impressive force in the watch market as well. Tisci has
unveiled the new “Shark” watch, which is more traditional than Givenchy’s
usual offerings.
For a man who is a big fan of Bambi and rottweilers, the watch has a very
traditional aesthetic being a variation on a diver watch with an octagonal
case. Tisci wasn’t going to let his love for animals disappear, however.
The design is based on what a Great White shark would look like when it
opens its mouth.
Other features of the watch include luminescent hands, a black rubber and
steel band, sapphire glass, and a Swiss quartz movement. The watch comes in
four color combinations. The price point for the watch is to be announced.
