On Thursday night, the Global Denim Awards celebrated its 2nd annual
edition in the European capital of denim, Amsterdam. The industry’s version
of the Emmy’s saw 8 designers teamed with 8 of the world’s top denim mills
to create a 5 outfit denim collection which combined the best of
craftsmanship and innovation. Each collection had to consist of at least 50
percent denim and be made sustainable. The winning team, which consisted
of Italian designer Andrea Diletto and Candiani Denim, won 10.000 euros,
whilst denim mill Berto Industria Tessile was honoured for best fabric
usage. FashionUnited had front row tickets to the denim event and lists the
