Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Australian counterpart Anthony Albanese were present when Steve Smith opted to bat vs India in the 4th Test in Ahmedabad, as per TOI.
Ahead of the toss, skippers Rohit Sharma and Smith received Test caps from their respective prime ministers.
BCCI president Roger Binny felicitated Australia’s Prime minister and secretary Jay Shah did the same for Modi.

Both PMs also did a lap of honour to mark the occasion of 75 years of friendship between India and Australia.
They then were introduced to the players by the skippers.
