British fashion brand Jaeger is teaming up with menswear designer Lou
Dalton on an autumn/winter 2016 capsule collection that will be unveiled
during London Collections: Men in January.
The outerwear collection puts functionality at the forefront, with a
heavy focus being on performance wear, taking inspiration from Jaeger’s
heritage and combining it with Dalton’s contemporary approach to tailoring.
Inspired by Ernest Shackleton’s endurance expedition to Antarctica in
1914, where the explorer wore protective Jaeger clothing, Dalton and the
design team at Jaeger have created a capsule outerwear collection including
a nylon trench with drop out flannel gilet, a shower-proof stretch nylon
hooded jacket and a mixed-gauge wool sweater, as well as a balaclava,
gloves and snood.
Design features include pack-away zip hoods, natural contoured shapes,
storm cuffs for a streamline effect, and lightweight double-faced fabrics
to ensure flexibility, including stretch nylon and Thermocool wool.
The collaboration will be unveiled at an event on January 9, during
London Collections: Men.
The Lou Dalton capsule collection will be sold in Jaeger stores and
online.
