In order to appeal to a wider, and albeit younger, demographic, high street
retailer John Lewis has teamed up with style blogger and vlogger Jim
Chapman to develop a curated, capsule collection.
Named Chapman & Lewis, the edited range will offer items hand selected by
Chapman from John Lewis’ menswear collection. Over the next six months, the
fashion stylist will be sharing his must haves for summer, autumn and
winter from the retailer’s existing collections. Items for the summer
edit include John Lewis & Co. chino shorts, which retail for 40 pounds, a
suede bomber jacket from Selected Homme, retailing for 240 pounds and a
t-shirt from Kin by John Lewis, for 12 pounds.
“John Lewis is all about quality, and they encourage customer confidence,”
said Chapman on the partnership. “So for me, being able to work with John
Lewis and place my stamp on Chapman & Lewis is really exciting.” In order
to promote the curated collection, John Lewis had created a dedicated
platform on its website and social media channels which will feature
updates from Chapman, including behind the scenes footage, photos shoots
and interviews.
