The first collection will launch in autumn 2016 and Frederick Goldman
will introduce the first Karl Lagerfeld bridal jewellery designs at the
Luxury Jcr fair in Las Vegas at the end of the month, where they will
accept applications from high-end stores to become an authorised
retailer.
Karl Lagerfeld Group, chief executive, Pier Paolo Righi said: “Our fine
jewellery licensing agreement with one of the leading companies in its
field, Frederick Goldman Inc. represents an exciting step for the
development of our global brand and business.”
Consumers can expect the bridal jewellery to reflect the label’s
“iconic, creative and cool” DNA, the press statement confirmed, and that it
will “fill a gap” in the current market while catering for the brand’s
“aspirational luxury niche”.
Frederick Goldman, Inc., chief executive officer Jonathan Goldman,
added: “With our company’s 68 years of expertise in the fine jewellery
industry, we are certain that the new Karl Lagerfeld bridal and wedding
jewellery collections will drive and inspire the designer-conscious,
millennial consumer who seeks style and appreciates bridal jewellery.”
The bridal jewellery line will join Karl Lagerfeld’s ready-to-wear
collections for men, women and children, its bag range, accessories,
watches and eyewear, not forgetting the fragrances and casual menswear
line.
