According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, NJPW IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kenny Omega has been working through an injury as of late.
“[Kenny Omega] cracked his heel at the Cow Palace doing The Terminator dive…it’s a small break, but yes, in fact, he’s been doing all these matches with a broken heel. He’s been walking around on his tippy toes, he can’t walk regular, he’s been doing these matches, because he’s gonna do them until he can’t do them.”
As of now, there is no update on what course of treatment Omega might take for his injury, and it remains to be seen whether or not he will have the injury medically addressed, or continue to work through the injury with the hope that the injury sorts itself out.

Above is the latest episode of “Being the Elite”, during which Kenny Omega provides an update from Japan. Omega admits that he “may or may not” be wrestling with an injury. Omega notes he is still recovering from San Francisco, and that while he is hurt, it’s nothing major and that it will heal. Omega confirmed his heel is suspected to be fractured, and that it is very painful, but that his adrenaline and the prestige of the tournament is what gets him through his current matches.
