French luxury group Kering is supporting the International Day for the
Elimination of Violence against Women via a campaign called “White Ribbon
For Women.”
As part of the Kering Foundation, the company has created a badge designed
by Stella McCartney as a symbol of the struggle, which will be available in
over 800 designer stores worldwide and free from November 21-28.
The White Ribbon became a symbol in 1991, and the staggering statistic that
1 out of 3 women in the world will be beaten, coerced into sex or abused in
her lifetime is still relevant.
Kering will make the badge available in the stores of its portfolio brands,
including Gucci, Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Brioni, Stella McCartney,
Boucheron, Dodo Pomellato and Qeelin.
A wave of celebrities including Cara Delevingne, Ellie Goulding, Taylor
Swift, Karlie Kloss, and Stella McCartney leant their support at the launch
of the campaign, which on social media uses the hashtag #BeHerVoice. More
