The Portuguese winger appeared 25 times for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side last term, scoring one goal as Wanderers stormed to a seventh place finish.
And the Championship club have the option to sign the forward permanently following his year with the club.
On Tuesday, Leeds sold Jack Clarke to Tottenham and the youngster has returned to Elland Road on a season-long loan.
Whites boss Marcelo Bielsa has already added Jack Harrison from Manchester City and Ben White from Brighton to his ranks, with both also joining on loan.
Meanwhile, Leeds have also made a bid for Dinamo Zagreb youngster Ivan Sunjic, according to the Daily Mail.
Sunjic, 22, made 24 appearances as Dinamo Zagreb won the Croatian league title last season, finishing 25 points clear of Rijeka.
Wolves completed the £12million signing of Leander Dendoncker from Anderlecht on Tuesday after taking up their obligation to purchase the midfielder.
Dendoncker made 19 league appearances during his debut season at Molineux, netting twice.
