Brock Lesnar has been the reigning Universal Champion for over a year, and it was truly shocking when Roman Reigns was unable to dethrone Lesnar at WrestleMania 34 or The Greatest Royal Rumble event last month. Although an argument could be made for Reigns receiving another shot against Lesnar since his feet technically hit the floor first during their Steel Cage match in Saudi Arabia, Reigns is no longer rumored to be facing Lesnar for the title again. A new report from PWInsider has claimed that the next opponent for Brock is currently scheduled to be current Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins. There is no word on when that match is expected to take place.
After failing to appear on WWE programming over the past few weeks or on WWE’s European tour, it was confirmed earlier this week by WWE that Smackdown’s Randy Orton recently underwent surgery for what is said to be a minor knee injury. Orton has said that his knee had been bothering him for over a year, but he felt that right now was the best time to have it repaired. According to an update provided by F4WOnline, Orton is currently expected to miss around two months of in-ring action while he recovers from his injury. Fortunately for Orton, this would mean that his return to the ring will coincide perfectly with the SummerSlam pay-per-view, which takes place in August.
The season premiere of Table for 3 took place earlier this month, and fans got the chance to watch Road Dogg, Jeff Jarrett, and Elias combine their musical talents on the most recent episode. The schedule this week on the WWE Network, as reported by PWInsider, has revealed that an interesting twist will be taking place on an upcoming episode of Table for 3. The show will feature four WWE Superstars for the first time ever as Matt and Jeff Hardy sit down with Edge and Christian. The new episode will be airing on the WWE Network this Monday night immediately after Raw goes off the air. These two teams have had several legendary matches against each other in past years.
