LOCKPORT, IL — The consolidated election on April 1 will feature several local races, including the race for several positions on the Lockport City Council.
The last day to file petitions for the April election was Nov. 18, and candidates file with the City of Lockport for council races.
Lockport residents will vote on the Mayor, Alderpersons, City Clerk and City Treasurer on the April ballot. Here are the candidates who have filed:

First Ward Alderperson
Second Ward Alderperson
Third Ward Alderperson
Fourth Ward Alderperson
City Clerk
City Treasurer
The City told Patch that one objection has been filed by candidate Mark Lobes against incumbent Susan King. The Lockport Electoral Board will reconvene to hold a hearing on the objection at 7 p.m. on Monday.
