This London Fashion Week, Luella Bartley will show her Spring/Summer 2008 collection in the British capital. Not only Luella finds her way back to the London catwalk, she’s about to open a shop on 25 Brook Street, W1.
Born in Stratford-upon-Avon and graduated of Central Saint Martin’s, Luella distinguished her brand with her own preppy punk style. She gained global recognition with her British take on fashion, also referred to as ‘Brit It Girl’, and won over many celebrity hearts including Chloe Sevigny, Gwyneth Paltrow and Mischa Barton.
Daddy, Who Were the Clash? was the title of Luella’s first fashion show in London in February 2000. Nearly a year later in September 2001, she took her show to New York were she showed ever since.
Next to showing in London, Luella’s is about to open a flag ship store in Mayfair. After Takashiyma, Shinjuku in Tokyo and London, the British designer is also looking at launching a shop in Hong Kong.
Luella is sold in 41 countries, which includes 5 shops in shop concepts based in London, Paris, Istanbul, Dubai and Tokyo.
