Manchester United are interested in a double Ligue 1 swoop for French midfielder Boubakary Soumare and striker Moussa Dembele, according to reports.
The Red Devils are said to be considering alternatives to Paul Pogba, who is currently on the sidelines with an ankle injury but remains to be strongly linked with a move away from Old Trafford.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has maintained the World Cup winner is a key member of his squad, while he still has three years left on his contract, but Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is a big fan and could make a huge bid to bring him to Spain either in January or next summer having failed to land him this year.
And, according to ESPN and French football expert Julien Laurens, United have identified 20-year-old Lille midfielder Soumare as the ideal heir for Pogba.
It is claimed the Premier League club have scouted Soumare several times this year and have been impressed with his physicality and skill on the ball for a player of his age.
However, they are not the only admirers of young Frenchman ahead and they are now ready to launch a bid to sign him ahead of other interested clubs.
Soumare’s contract at Lille expires at the end of the season, but the Ligue 1 club are looking to tie him down to a new one before a potential exit in the summer.
He is rated at around €35 to €40million, although if he refuses to pen a new deal he could be signed by Man United for nothing in January.
United are also still showing an interest in Lyon striker Moussa Dembele, who has been linked with a move to Old Trafford for several months.
Ole Gunner Solskjaer keen to bolster his forward line in January and, ESPN claims, he is a big fan of the former Celtic and Fulham striker, who has scored 22 goals in 43 league matches since his move from Scotland in August 2018 – including seven goals in ten games this season.
However, Lille has insisted the 23-year-old star is not for sale.
