Jesse Lingard has posted a picture of himself with Paul Pogba on Twitter after the pair appeared to be involved in an altercation during the club’s pre-season tour.
In a short video posted on Manchester United’s official Twitter page, Pogba looked like he was exchanging heated words with Lingard as the players walked through Perth.
The France World Cup winner appeared to step towards his team-mate before Victor Lindelof grabs hold of him, seemingly to diffuse the situation.
On Tuesday afternoon, Lingard uploaded a picture of himself and Pogba training in Perth, seemingly playing any incident down.
And former Hull and Bolton manager Brown insists ‘there is nothing in it’ and a ‘clash’ between the pair has been fabricated.
“This is a witch-hunt,” he said on Tuesday’s Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast.

“I’ve watched the video and there’s nothing to it.
“Lindelof puts his arm around him to pull him away from a potential spat? They’re just walking through the street!
“The newspapers are just catching the time he’s not smiling.”
Pogba’s attitude at the club has come into question with the midfielder expressing a desire for a ‘new challenge’.
His agent, Mino Raiola, told talkSPORT the 26-year-old had done nothing wrong and was hopeful he will be granted his wish to leave.
Both Juventus and Real Madrid have been linked with the player.
