Mino Raiola will already be planning how to get Paul Pogba out of Manchester United this summer, according to former striker Mido.
The Egyptian star, who was represented by the super-agent for a decade of his playing career, says Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is the best man to manage the French midfielder and believes he will soon be heading for the exit door.
Pogba is said to be open to a move away from Old Trafford after United missed out on a place in next year’s Champions League – finishing sixth in the Premier League.
The club are determined to keep the 26-year-old, though, and are reportedly ready to give him the captain’s armband in a bid to tempt him to stay.
However, Mido believes the captaincy will not be enough and that Raiola will be already planning Pogba’s next destination.
And he says joining Zidane at Real Madrid would be the perfect fit, as the France legend knows how to get the best out of his ‘moody’ compatriots.
“Pogba’s agent is Mino Raiola – Mino was my agent for ten years and he knows what he’s doing, believe me,” said the former Tottenham striker on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast.
“He will be thinking now that maybe it’s the right time for Paul to go away.
“He knows he will be under pressure next season so, believe me, Mino will be looking for another club.
“I don’t see Pogba staying at Manchester United, even if they offer him the captaincy.
Of course, Zidane loves Pogba. He loves him.
“Zizou knows how to deal with the French boys. He knows the mentality. French boys are different, a little moody, if you can say that. If you can make them happy they will be at their best
“He’s done great with Karim Benzema and he knows how to get the best out of Pogba.”
