Harry Maguire may well be the world’s most expensive defender, but the England international currently does not have a boot sponsor.
The Manchester United defender moved to Old Trafford from Leicester City in a deal worth £80million and made an impressive debut against Chelsea last Sunday.
But eagle-eyed fans will have noticed Maguire was wearing ‘blacked-out’ boots as he currently does not have a contract.
According to The Sun, Nike, Puma, adidas and Under Armour want to sign him to a long-term deal worth £700,000 a season.
His previous contract with Nike expired in the summer and his commercial value has sky-rocketed since his mega move to United.
The report suggests the former Sheffield United and Hull City defender is seen as a ‘wholesome’ role model ever since his performances for the Three Lions at the World Cup in Russia.

Adidas sponsor Manchester United’s kit this season and have already snapped up fellow summer signing Daniel James following his summer move from Swansea.
And it could be that Maguire follows suit after rejecting a move to Puma-sponsored Manchester City this summer.
Reports suggested City were offering the 27-year-old £100,000-a-week more than what City were offering, but Maguire had his heart set on a move to Old Trafford.
