The duo were summer signings with Maguire only completing his £80million move from Leicester City earlier this week.
Daniel James, also brought in during the transfer window, must make do with a place on the bench at Old Trafford.
Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford, and Jesse Lingard look set to lead from the front, with Scott McTominay, Paul Pogba, and Andreas Pereira making up the central midfield line-up.
Solskjaer has also picked Victor Lindelof to start alongside Maguire, with Luke Shaw at left-back and David De Gea in goal.
The substitute’s bench is a real mix of youth and experience with Jame, Axel Tuanzebe, and Mason Greenwood sitting down alongside, Juan Mata, Nemanja Matic, and Ashley Young.
