Paul Pogba will hold showdown talks with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this week, according to reports.
The Manchester United midfielder is expected to tell the Norwegian he wants to join Real Madrid.
Pogba, who has publicly admitted ‘it could be time for a new challenge’, is desperate to link up with Eden Hazard and Zinedine Zidane at the Bernabeu.
But The Sun claim executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward will block any attempts from Real Madrid to sign the France star this summer.
However, Pogba hopes Solskjaer will convince Woodward to let him go.
The 26-year-old is keen to have his future sorted before Manchester United’s first pre-season match against Perth Glory in Australia on July 13.
He has been heavily linked with Real Madrid and Juventus but both clubs are yet to submit a bid.

Pogba is valued at £120million, which could scupper a move to the Spanish capital.
The LaLiga giants have already forked out over £250million on new signings Hazard, Luka Jovic, Ferland Mendy, Eder Militao, and Rodrygo.
But out-of-favour Real midfielder Isco could be involved in a potential swap deal for Pogba.
While the Pogba transfer saga drags, United have remained busy in the transfer market as Aaron Wan-Bissaka became the club’s second signing of the summer after completing a £50million move from Crystal Palace on Saturday.
The Red Devils’ other summer recruit has been the £15million signing of Daniel James from Swansea.
