Manchester United are on the hunt for another young talent – with Aston Villa’s John McGinn on their radar – according to reports.
United completed a £50m deal for the highly-rated Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace on Saturday, having already finalised the signing of Swansea youngster Dan James earlier this month for £15million.
And according to the Sun, Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is eager to add McGinn to his ranks as he oversees a huge upheaval of his squad this summer.
However, McGinn will not come on the cheap, with the Villans reportedly slapping a whopping £50m price tag on the midfielder’s head.
The 24-year-old, who only joined the Midlands outfit a year ago from Hibernian for just £2.75m, played a vital role in the club’s promotion success via the play-offs in the 2018/19 campaign.
United are plotting an opening bid for the Scotland international, who has been in talks with Villa over a contract extension.

While it is unknown how much exactly United would be prepared to offer for McGinn, Villa could face a situation where the player’s head is turned – with solid interest from one of the world’s biggest clubs.
If a deal is struck, it is almost certain to eclipse the previous record deal for a Scot, set when Oliver Burke completed a £15m move to RB Leipzig nearly three years ago.
Hibernian would receive a welcome cash windfall should McGinn move on for big money, having inserted a 20 per cent sell-on clause when they sold the midfielder last summer.
