Apple TV began making a place for the fashion community, and Spain-based
brand Mango has hopped on board with their efforts. As the future of
television is undergoing a transformation thanks to Apple TV, Mango has
launched an app that will allow users to access fashion proposals in large
format via their television sets.
The new browsing experience allows users to access campaign images, look
books, and fashion films for Mango’s different labels including Mango,
Mango Man, Mango kids, and Violeta by Mango. In addition to the browsing
features, the app also allows users to add a selection of garments to their
shopping bag.
The Siri Remote control, which has a newly redesigned and fully adaptable
interface, also helps in making this app more functional.
Last June, Mango launched their app for the Apple Smartwatch, which has
proven to be a success. The launch of the app came a few short months after
they began to further their technological footprint with the Scan & Shop
feature for mobile devices.
In the face of the growing e-commerce trend, Mango remains ahead of the
curve. They are one of the few companies in Spain that have adapted their
online selling to any technological device. The company has reported that
50 percent of their total traffic is carried out via mobile, and that
mobile devices accounted for 30 percent of their e-commerce turnover.
Online selling currently represents only 9.1 percent of their total
turnover. This might change, however, as the company has launched their
online store in 12 new countries, bringing the total number of countries
where they are sold to 76.
