The French midfielder was kown for his hard-hitting tackles during his 10 years at Arsenal between 2008-18.
And the injury will come as a frustrating blow for Mount, who admitted it was his career goal to play in the competition prior to the match.
He said: “It is a dream to play in the Champions League and, for me playing in it with Chelsea, it is a massive game.”
“Watching that as a kid, it gives you the extra fire and the goal to want to play in the Champions League because you have seen what the club has done before.”
