WWE’s is currently planning to host a major pay-per-view show in Australia this October called the Super Show-Down. The company is hoping to sell out the Melbourne Cricket Ground stadium, which can fit over 100,000 fans, and WWE is putting together some major matches in order for that to happen. It has already been announced that The Undertaker will be returning during the show to fight Triple H, and it looks like John Cena will be coming back to the ring for a match on that show now as well. It was announced earlier today that John Cena will be competing against Raw Superstar Kevin Owens at the Super Show-Down event. The show takes place on October 6th and will be airing live on the WWE Network.

After Aleister Black shockingly lost the NXT Championship to Tommaso Ciampa during their match a few weeks ago, fans naturally assumed that Black would immediately challenge Ciampa to a rematch for the title. Since Johnny Gargano accidentally ended up costing Black the title match, it also seemed like he would be involved in the match for the championship. During this week’s episode of NXT, it was very briefly confirmed that there would be a Triple Threat match between the three competitors at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn next Saturday, but a recent injury that Black received cause the company to completely change those plans and take Black out of the match that had been planned for Takeover entirely.
The main event of Takeover will now be a Last Man Standing match for the NXT Championship between Gargano and Ciampa, and as reported yesterday, Black was written off of NXT programming after he was mysteriously attacked in the parking lot of Full Sail University. Rather than immediately put the blame on the dastardly new NXT Champion, Ciampa is claiming complete innocence. WWE has just uploaded a video on their YouTube channel wherein they list just about every NXT Superstar as a possible suspect in the recent attack on Aleister. Johnny Gargano, Ricochet, Kona Reeves, Shayna Baszler, Heavy Machinery, Candice LeRae, or a different NXT roster member could be revealed as the mystery assailant very soon.
