French designer label Paule Ka has launched its much anticipated,
limited-edition collection with luxury online retailer Moda Operandi.
Currently available for pre-order for 15 days, items from the collection 53
piece collection include trench coats, shifts dresses and pussy bow
blouses in an array of pastel pinks, blacks, ruby reds and white. Many of
the designs show clear links to the fashion house signature staples, such
as the bows, as well as a hint of graphic touches and sixties/mod
influences.
The limited-edition collection is the début range created under the helm
former Lavin designer Alithia Spuri-Zampetti, who was appointed last June.
She was charged with the task of reviving the brand following the exit of
its founder and ex-creative director Serge Cajfinger, who left the French
label 18 months ago.
The collection launch comes ahead of Spuri-Zampetti, a Central Saint
Martin alumni, official début at Paris Fashion Week this March, with items
from the limited-edition range set to be shipped from mid-March onwards.
Afterwards, the collection will be available in Paule Ka stores and
selected boutiques in April.
Part of the reason behind Paule Ka collaboration with Moda Operandi stems
from it chief executive and chairman, Catherine Vautrin, desire to expand
in the US, Asia and the Middle East. “Moda Operandi is a major e-commerce
player in the United States and works with prestigious houses,” said
Vautrin to WWD. “It’s a great opportunity for us to grow in the American
market, which will be one of our key markets in 2016.”
