Founder and former creative director of Issa, Daniella Helayel has
collaborated with high street retailer Monsoon on a capsule collection.
Helayel, best known for her figure-flattering dresses, made famous by
the Duchess of Cambridge, who wore a blue Issa wrap dress for her
engagement announcement, has produced a capsule collection featuring
knee-length and maxi dresses, a shirt and wide-leg trousers.
The 15-piece collection ranges from 89 pounds for the shirt to 199
pounds for a maxi dress, which comes in a range of materials including silk
chiffon, satin crepe and jersey, in a range of bold colours and floral and
graphic prints.
The collaboration marks the designer’s first exclusive collection for
Monsoon and echoes the style of Helayel’s former label Issa, with
figure-flattering silhouettes and vintage eclectic inspired prints.
On Monsoon’s website the designer stated that she likes to “empower
women so they can get on with their lives knowing they look fantastic,”
adding that her philosophy has always been to “make all women feel
comfortable and confident”.
When discussing what the starting point for the collection was, Helayel
states the silhouettes, as she wanted the collection to have a “wide
appeal” to every woman.
The Daniella Helayel for Monsoon collection is available now exclusively
to Monsoon online and in-store.
