As noted, Shield member Dean Ambrose underwent successful surgery yesterday to repair a torn triceps tendon, and WWE has released the above video featuring Cathy Kelley providing more details, including comments from a WWE doctor, on Ambrose’s injury.

As we previously reported, Ambrose’s injury is indeed legitimate, and the injury angle done on Raw this week with Samoa Joe was to write him off TV so he could have the injury evaluated. It was determined after Raw that he would need surgery, and his return timetable has yet to be revealed.
