SOHO, NY — A sprinkle pool, three-story slide, and a “hall of giant scoops” is coming to SoHo in an ice cream museum with plenty social media friendly photo-ops this fall.

The Museum of Ice Cream is opening its first permanent New York City location, according to a news release.
Co-founder and creative director of the museum Maryellis Bunn said the New York City digs has been a “dream” for three years.
“I want to continue to connect people and create moments of joy through ice cream. MOIC NYC will build upon Soho’s artistic history and contribute to the neighborhood’s resurgence as a place for imagination and creativity,” Bunn said in a statement.
After it was founded in 2016, the Museum of Ice Cream joined a variety of food museums with Instagram-worthy photo-ops.
The SoHo location will takeover three floors with 13 installations spanning 25,000 square feet at 558 Broadway near Prince Street. The SoHo location will have “multi-sensory” installations such as a floating table, a three-story slide, a hall of giant scoops, a giant “Queen Bee hive” and more. It will also feature a cafe and shop open to the public.
