As we noted over the weekend, through sources such as Pro Wrestling Sheet and F4WOnline.com, former WWE Cruiserweight Neville, who has been absent from WWE TV since October of 2017, has finally been granted his release from WWE, making him an unrestricted free agent in wrestling.

PWInsider.com has since confirmed with two sources that Neville was indeed granted his release from WWE, however, the report notes Neville was spotted over the weekend in Pittsburgh, PA. Neville being in The Steel City amidst reports of his release is very interesting in that Pittsburgh is where WWE sends all of its talents to undergo medical testing prior to signing new deals with the company.

Additionally, WWE has yet to announce, officially, that Neville has been released, and his profile remains on the WWE website. While all of the above could merely be coincidence, Neville’s whereabouts and lack of any official announcement from WWE regarding his release is interesting.
The last time Neville’s status was addressed by WWE was on the pre-Takeover Brooklyn conference call conducted by Triple H, during which The Game praised Neville but offered no real update on his status with WWE.
Triple H said he wasn’t 100% sure on what was happening with @WWENeville, but called him “one of the most talented guys in the world” and praised him for his work in NXT, and growing the cruiserweight division on 205 Live. #NXTTakeover
