The numbers are in for this weeks WWE Backstage episode, which took place on New Year’s Eve, with the show drawing 97,000 viewers.

The episode was the final one of 2019 and according to Showbuzz Daily, it averaged at 97,000 viewers, drawing a 0.03 rating in the 18-39 demographic.

Unfortunately, both of these numbers are down from the previous week, which aired on Christmas Eve. That show drew 153,000 viewers.

It isn’t a massive surprise to see the numbers drop though, with New Year’s Eve typically being a night where many people head out or attend parties, rather than watch television. WWE still had a prime feature on FOX’s New Year’s Eve special with Steve Harvey though.

Roman Reigns and Dolph Ziggler had a match on the show that was pre-taped during WWE SmackDown, with that show averaging at 2.795 million viewers, making it a great bit of exposure for WWE.
