As we noted earlier this week, People.com reported that “sources” close to Nikki Bella and John Cena are claiming the couple is “basically back together” following Cena spending the weekend in San Diego with Nikki.

The report added “Bella and Cena are officially on the road to reconciliation”, but that does not appear to be the case as Nikki took to Twitter recently and responded to the report calling it “lies”:

The lies… damn can make a girl want to hide… these articles are so incorrect. One day I would love to meet these “sources.” N

As noted, TMZ reported last Saturday that John Cena and Nikki Bella were spotted together in San Diego over the weekend, as Cena reportedly flew to California in an attempt to “win Nikki back”. The TMZ report fueled speculation as to the couple’s status, prompting the People report to claim the WWE couple were heading towards a reconciliation, adding “they both got a wake-up call once they canceled the wedding, and they both realized they could fix what was broken.”
