NJPW announces full card for Hyper Battle PPV, Okada set to defend IWGP World Hvt. Championship in main event

NJPW has announced the complete card for their next PPV event called “Hyper Battle” on April 9 in Tokyo, Japan. The show will be part of a Hyper Battle tour that runs from April 3-April 9 in Japan.

The show is headlined by NJPW Cup 2022 winner Zack Sabre Jr. challenging IWGP World Hvt. Champion Kazuchika Okada. Sabre and Okada have not faced off in a singles match in nearly three years. The last time they wrestled was during the G1 Climax tournament in 2019,

The entire card announced is as follows:

• Kazuchika Okada vs. Zack Sabre Jr. – IWGP World Heavyweight Championship match
• El Desperado vs. Sho – IWGP Junior Heavyweight title match
• Hirooki Goto & Yoshi-Hashi vs. Great-O-Khan & Jeff Cobb – IWGP Tag Team Championship match
• Evil vs. Hiromu Takahashi – NEVER Openweight Championship match
• Toru Yano vs. Taichi – Provisional KOPW 2022 match (stipulation yet to be decided)
• Ryusuke Taguchi & Master Wato vs. El Phantasmo & Taiji Ishimori – IWGP Junior Tag Team Championship match
• Tetsuya Naito & Shingo Takagi vs. Will Ospreay & Aaron Henare
• Jado & Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa & Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Bad Luck Fale & Gedo & Yujiro Takahashi & Chase Owens
