For the first time ever, New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s annual marquee event will span two nights back-to-back at the Tokyo Dome, and with the 2019 World Tag League now in the rearview mirror, complete match cards for Wrestle Kingdom 14 have been released.

This year’s series of shows will be built around something called the Double Gold Dash. On the first night at the Dome, the “Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada will defend the IWGP Heavyweight Championship against the 2019 G1 Climax tournament winner Kota Ibushi, while “Switchblade” Jay White defends the IWGP Intercontinental Championship against Tetsuya Naito.

All four stars have expressed interesting in being the first man to hold both the company’s top titles simultaneously. In order to resolve this, night two of Wrestle Kingdom 14 will see the two champions who emerge victorious the previous night face off in a winner-take-all main event.

There are ten title matches announced across both days, as well as the highly anticipated first-time collision between Chris Jericho and Hiroshi Tanahashi, an old fashioned Texas Death Match, and of course the final two matches that Jushin Thunder Liger will ever wrestle in his legendary career.
