As of right now, it still looks like Dean Ambrose will be leaving WWE after WrestleMania 35 comes to an end next weekend. Ambrose is not scheduled to compete at the event, not even as an entrant in the André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. However, he was apparently set to wrestle on the show before he decided not to sign a new deal with the company. In fact, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter says that Ambrose was supposed to wrestle Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship at the show. It was noted that WWE planned this match before Reigns surrendered the title due to his leukemia diagnosis. Either way, the match was eventually scrapped and Ambrose is now wrapping up his WWE tenure,
Wrestling fans were shocked when Charlotte Flair defeated Asuka to become an eight-time Women’s Champion on SmackDown earlier this week. Flair is now a record-breaking titleholder and could win the Raw Women’s Championship as well if she can defeat Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania 35. Meanwhile, Asuka has spoken out on her loss from Tuesday night. She talked about wanting to defend her title at WrestleMania 35, but even though she lost her championship, she promised to continue her career and come back stronger than ever. Asuka is now set to compete in the WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal. The video and translation for Asuka’s promo has been posted down below:
Look at that emotion…..this is why no matter how hard @WWE tried to keep @WWEAsuka down, her fans never stopped believing. Being snubbed at Summer Slam….don’t matter..because we know Asuka is the best. Can’t keep real talent down. #AsukaDeservesBetter #WhoBookedThis pic.twitter.com/hiQklAkKj2

“I wanted to go really really big stage at Wrestlemania with a Smackdown Championship belt, but I lost to Charlotte. But I can not stop. Because I am Asuka. I’m Empress, I can never stop. I can only go forward. Please support me because I won’t let you regret it -never.”

It was only a few weeks ago when it was announced that Johnny Gargano, Tommaso Ciampa, Ricochet, and Aleister Black were being moved up to WWE’s main roster. Ricochet and Aleister Black are still wrestling on Raw and SmackDown each week, but Ciampa is out with an injury and Gargano has seemingly moved back to NXT for the time being. However, there may be plans to make him a cruiserweight soon. On Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alavarez mentioned that the company wants to move Gargano to the show to make it more interesting. There is no word on when Gargano may be moving there, and keep in mind that plans may change. Gargano will wrestle Adam Cole for the vacant NXT Championship st NXT Takeover: New York next week.
