Los Angeles – H&M’s elevated, higher-priced sister company just recently
announced a new collaboration in mind. Delving into the Los Angeles fashion
scene, & Other Stories has unveiled their newest collection along with
ready-to-wear label Rodarte.
The new collection is set to be released Spring 2016. Kate and Laura
Mulleavy, the dynamic duo behind Los Angeles-based brand Rodarte, decided
to collaborate with & Other Stories to bring in a fresh, new take on their
fashion line. “& Other Stories’ unique positioning in the fashion landscape
has allowed [Rodarte] to create a truly special collection,” the Mulleavys
said in a press release issued from & Other Stories. In return, & Other
Stories will receive an interesting take on Los Angeles fashion. “With
Rodarte’s strong co-lab collection we’re adding a new L.A.-infused
perspective to our selection and bringing inspiration and ideas to
encourage all personal styles, or stories,” Samuel Fernström, managing
director of & Other Stories, told WWD. The collaborative line will include
ready to wear, accessories, and shoes at a high price point. According to
WWD, the prices for the capsule collection will range from 29 to 325
dollars. The pieces will be available at & Other Stories retail locations
and online.
& Other Stories is a fashion brand that offers the modern woman shoes,
bags, accessories, and ready-to-wear apparel. Founded only two years ago,
the brand already has over 20 locations including cities in the U.S. and
Europe. The company size ranges from 201-500 employees currently. The brand
is known for its more daring, fashion-forward trends than its sister
company H&M. Also, & Other Stories has gained a reputation for its higher
pricing than H&M. The label opened its first retail store in 2013 starting
in London and branching out to other areas. Currently, & Other Stories has
U.S. locations in New York.
