Paul Pogba has revealed the nickname he has given to new Manchester United team-mate Harry Maguire following his dominant display in the win over Chelsea.
Maguire, who joined for £80million from Leicester to become the world’s most expensive defender, was handed his Old Trafford debut on Sunday.
The England international commanded his back-line and looked to have formed a quick understanding with Victor Lindelof in the 4-0 victory.
His performance earned him man-of-the-match and Pogba said United’s No.5 had made a big impact on the dressing room already.
“As I call him [Maguire] – ‘the Beast’,” said Pogba to reporters after the game.
“Honestly, as you saw, he was really impressive. He is a leader. He fits right in with us in training.

“We talked about controlling the defence well and he has a good understanding with Victor (Lindelof). It was a very good match to start with from the whole team.”
Maguire made more interceptions, tackles and blocks than any other player and his presence was hailed by former United boss Jose Mourinho.
“I think he was solid like a rock and as we know it’s very important for a team to have that not just the tactical knowledge but that personality, that sense of reading the game of being alert all the time and confident to play.
“He was fantastic, he was fantastic. Absolutely deserved.”
“As I always said Lindelof can be a very good player. With Maguire it can be a very good partnership.”
