The Uttar Pradesh cop Subodh Kumar Singh who was killed in Bulandhshahr violence on Monday has once again created communal tensions in Uttar Pradesh and has brought to light the lawlessness in the state.
The family members of Singh have alleged that Singh lost his life due to Hindu-Muslim dispute in the Indian society. They demanded justice and stringent punishment for the accused. Meanwhile, two Bharatiya Janata Party lawmakers have attempted to draw a connection between the Bulandshahr violence and an Islamic congregation that was being organised nearby.
The opposition parties criticised BJP for stirring up communal tensions in the state ahead of Lok Sabha elections 2019. Many alleged that the violence was pre-planned since Singh also happened to be the investigative officer in the Mohammad Akhlaq case and played an instrumental role in bringing the meat samples to the lab for testing on time.
