High street fashion retailer River Island has decided to continue its
partnership with global charity for men’s health foundation
Following on from the success of last year’s collaborative collection,
which consisted of four limited-edition shirts, River Island has teamed up
with the charity to develop 3 knitwear pieces.
“It’s fantastic to join forces with Movember and support them in raising
awareness of men’s health issues,” commented Ben Lewis, Chief Executive
Officer at River Island. “Both our brands have a solid heritage and honest
goals, this synergy makes for a perfect partnership in raising funds for
this great cause.”
The pieces for the collection include a knitted sweater, a shawl cardigan
and a knit turtleneck, available in seasonal shades such as navy, khaki,
and stone. Each items also features a small, subtle moustache embroidered
on the front to indicate the knit’s connection to Movember. 30 percent of
the profits from the Movember x River Island collection will be donated to
the Movember Foundation, which was established in 2003.
“We’re really pleased to be building on last year’s partnership and working
on a new clothing collaboration with River Island. As well as sporting a
moustache to raise awareness and funds for men’s health, Mo Bros can fully
embrace Movember and look dapper in the process” commented Sarah Coghlan,
UK Country Director Movember. “River Island have really embraced the cause
and we look forward to seeing lots of moustaches across the business during
Movember.”
