London Fashion Week favourites Sibling have been confirmed as the newest
designer label to collaborate with high street retailer River Island as
part of its Design Forum initiative.
Sibling, co-designed by Cozette McCreery and Sid Bryan since their
design partner and friend, Joe Bates, sadly passed away earlier this year,
join a growing list of designers to collaborate with the high street store
for its design initiative including Zoe Jordan, Jean-Pierre Braganza and
Eudon Choi.
Describing their collection as “pretty in pink” Sibling’s first foray
into high street fashion will be “quirky and tough in a feminine way,”
according to the press release, while taking inspiration from Ellen Von
Unwerth’ photographs, Brigitte Bardot, daisies and Sibling’s staple of
knits, sequins and denim.
Hitting stores for spring/summer 2016, the capsule collection features
pink checked denim, ditsy florals and glitter knits in a colour palette of
navy, blues and pastel pink. According to the retailer the collection,
which will be priced from 15 to 55 pounds and it “oozes a carefree, happy
and fun vibe”.
The collection will be fully unveiled with a short film at London
Fashion Week’s Fashion Film event in February, after which it will be on
sale in selected River Island stores in the UK and Internationally and
online at Riverisland.com.
