WWE has announced that Seth Rollins will defend the Universal Championship against The Fiend on October 31 at the upcoming Crown Jewel pay-per-view in Saudi Arabia. Following the controversial conclusion to their recent battle inside Hell in a Cell, the two will now do battle in a Falls Count Anywhere match.
This is a bizarre announcement on several levels. Rollins was drafted to Monday Night Raw this evening, while The Fiend was drafted to Friday Night Smackdown, and WWE has repeatedly promoted the draft as a new complete separation of the two brands. Rollins is also supposed to be a part of the 10-man tag team match featuring Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair as captains at the same event.
