Conway, a former Major League Baseball player, confronts his stepfather and plans to kill him for his past sins. Michales spoke about the project and director Brent Bentman, in a statement to Uproxx.
“I’m very thankful to B22Films and Brett for giving me a chance to play such a challenging and interesting role. As a former WWE Superstar, it’s rare to get the opportunity to play a role with such range and depth. I’m eternally grateful they took the chance on me.”
This role is a true departure from Michaels’ babyface persona in WWE. Shawn has become a true icon and anchor for an entire generation of fans who continue to be inspired by his Hall of Fame career.
Michaels is just the latest WWE Superstar to try his hand at the silver screen. It’s a transition that seems entirely logical for anyone that found success in WWE. That especially includes Shawn, who was one of the most proficient on the mic and arguably the best of all time in the ring.
Shawn is indeed a born storyteller. If he can connect with audiences in his new career the way he did with the WWE audience. then he definitely has a bright future ahead.
