New Impact Tag Team Champions were crowned at tonight’s Slammiversary event.
The Good Brothers (Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows) defeated champions Violent by Design (Rhino and Doering), Fallah Bahh and the debuting No Way (formerly No Way Jose in WWE), and the team of Rich Swann and Willle Mack in a four-way match. The finish had Rhino setting up for the gore, but Anderson hit a cutter, then Gallows came in as the two hit the Magic Killer, giving Good Brothers the win and the titles for a second time.
Violent by Design had been champions since the Impact that aired on May 17, when they defeated Finjuice to win the titles. They defended the titles under the Freebird rule, giving Rhino, Joe Doering, and Deaner their first Tag Team title win and Eric Young his third.
No Way was a surprise tag team partner for Fallah Bahh. It was announced prior to Slammiversary that TJP, Bahh’s tag team partner, would be unable to make it to the show.
The other tag team titles in Impact, the Knockouts Tag Team titles, also changed hands. The Decay’s Rosemary and Havok defeated Fire ‘n’ Flava (Tasha Steelz and Kiera Hogan) to win the titles during the pre-show prior to Slammiversary.
