French fashion label The Kooples has launched a new social networking
app for lovers and couples who wish to communicate confidentially.
The Kooples Blackout app offers users the opportunity to “connect with just
one person in that moment” by blocking out all other phone activities. By
starting the Blackout mode, it prevents users from receiving all calls,
texts and notifications, which Kooples claims disrupts and distracts from
romantic conversations.
Alternatively, the app can engage the ‘Glitch’ mode, allowing couples to
send pictures of themselves. When the images arrive, they’re blurred and
only come into focus when the user touches the screen. The idea is to guess
what it is.
The contemporary label has always used authentic couples within their ad
campaigns and this free app, billed as the smallest social network, is an
extension of that message.
The Kooples Blackout is available from both the Apple Store and Google
Play Store.
