Two iconic British brands, each a leader in its own respective field, have
teamed up for what may seem an unlikely partnership.
Wedgwood, founded in 1759 and purveyor of fine china and porcelain, is
celebrating fifty years of its wild strawberry motif, one of its heritage
patterns, and who better than high street favourite Topshop to interpret
its designs?
Topshop Unique have re-worked the print for its spring summer 2016
collection, giving it an al fresco and contemporary update, as a delicate
embroidered and printed trellis, while Wedgwood’s historic jasperware
unglazed blue and white patterns inspire porcelain-blue stonewashed denim
and lightweight florals.
Items were first unveiled on the Topshop Unique LFW catwalk in September
and will be available in-store early 2016.
