Juventus forward Paulo Dybala has been told to reject a possible move to Manchester United, as Liverpool would be a better fit.
The Argentine star has been linked with a move to Old Trafford which could see Romelu Lukaku move in the other direction.
It is even claimed Cristiano Ronaldo has told his team-mate to join the Red Devils, where he believes he can become a ‘champion’.
But former Reds defender Andrea Dossena, who played with Dybala at Palermo, has said the Argentine should not join the ‘construction site’ at Old Trafford.
Tottenham had been strongly linked with an interest in Dybala before United were believed to have moved ahead in the race to sign him.
However, latest reports from Italy claim the 25-year-old has ‘no interest’ of joining the Red Devils and he is not prepared to join the Premier League giants.
And Dossena has questioned whether United would be right for Dybala, suggesting Liverpool would be a better career-move for his former team-mate.
“It’s all in his head,” Dossena, who famously scored twice told Tuttomercato.
“Obviously if he had to choose to leave Juve to go to United , I’m sure he would make himself available to the new club and could benefit from the atmosphere in the Premier League.
“It is certainly not a simple choice anyway, going away from Juventus is tough.
“We are talking about another world football superpower, but United are not ready to win big in Europe so he may as well stay at Juve, hence his vacillations.
“If the team in question had been Liverpool or Manchester City, in my opinion he would have had no doubts.
“United are more of a construction site at the moment, and for this reason I understand indecision – I too would be 50/50.”
