After what feels like an eternity, the Championship finally returns this Friday night.
Middlesbrough travel south to take on League One champions Luton Town, a game you can hear live on talkSPORT from 7.45pm.
As the increased revenue in the English game manages to trickle down into the lower leagues, clubs are beginning to spend more and more on players.
For instance, Wolves were able to smash the record transfer fee for the second tier in 2017 with the capture of Ruben Neves from Porto.
The financial muscle on display at Molineux of course aided that transfer, but big deals are part and parcel of the Championship nowadays.
In the same summer as Neves, Britt Assombalonga moved to Middlesbrough for £15million, while Benik Afobe and Tom Ince moved to Stoke City for a combined fee of £22m just 12 months later.
