London – Most shoppers around the world will always remember that one coveted item
they passed on and later came to regret not buying. In order to help
fashion lovers track down their missed piece, premium fashion
resale marketplace Vestiaire Collective has launched a new service, subtly
named ‘The One That Got Away.’
“A survey of our members revealed that many of our clients come to
Vestiaire to search the extensive inventory for amazing pieces they missed
out on and haven’t been able to find anywhere else, everyone has at least
one item they regret not buying,” explained Fanny Moizant, Vestiaire
Collective founder to British Vogue on the new campaign.
The new campaign invites users to post a photo, along with a description of
their long-lost fashion item to the Wish Page, visible to the platform’s
four million international members in the hopes that one of them may have
item languishing away in a corner of their closet. The website
automatically remembers each photo uploaded to the board, so that if
another user happens to post a certain Celine bag for sale a week, a month
or a year later, the original poster is immediately notified.
Vestiaire Collective’s VIPs will also receive additional guidance and
support in tracking down pieces they may have missed over the years.
Vestiaire Collective has already sourced a number of coveted items for
celebrities for its new campaign, who remain anonymous in their searches
until today.
